This birth hit a little differently. Dad is currently deployed, so FaceTime had to bridge the miles while Mama did the hardest, most incredible thing and brought their sweet little girl into the world.

Birth photography can be exhausting BUT then you get to witness that moment...

The first cry.
The shaking hands.
The tears.
A mama seeing her baby for the first time.
A daddy meeting his daughter through a phone screen from thousands of miles away.

And somehow I get to freeze it all for them.

I drove home absolutely exhausted and completely freaking HIGH ON LIFE. 😂

There really is nothing like this job. Welcome to the world, sweet girl. 🤍

If yall know anything about me it’s that I love being a mom and birth photography has my heart and soul right after weddings.

The anticipation is REAL tonight. 🤍
Cameras packed, batteries charged, phone on loud… just waiting for that “it’s time” message. 📸✨

This birth feels extra special with Dad away on deployment. There is so much love, strength, and emotion wrapped into one little arrival. 🇺🇸

Home sweet home. 🤍🌊

We made it back from an incredible week making memories with our family, and my heart is so full.

Today I’m unpacking, laundry, and catching up on messages. I'll be responding to messages today, and I'll be back at my computer tomorrow editing galleries, sending client portals, and getting back into the swing of things.
