Year in Review. This year was chaotic, to say the least. I didn’t publicize it, but I lost my job in March due to layoffs. What followed were several strong interviews that ultimately went nowhere, and by April things felt especially uncertain. It was a difficult stretch.

But as with all hard moments, you find a way to push forward and reset. In that space, I was able to do things I never would have if I’d still been working. I took a 40-day trip out west and saw places I’ll never forget. My wife even flew out for a week and joined me from Glacier through Salt Lake City—an experience I’ll always be grateful for.

Seven months later, I did find another job. Looking back, I’m incredibly thankful for everyone who supported me and helped me get through this year.
