https://www.redbubble.com/people/uni356/shop? Eunice was always a creative child, so much so that her parents sent her for private art lessons with a renowned quadriplegic Massachusetts artist Anthony G. “Tony” Estrella. He also told her to never stop creating but life got in the way,

as it always does. She was also a Girl Scout who loved camping and sang in the school chorus groups as well as in the church choir. When she was old enough to get a job all she did was work and time off was spent with friends she actually worked with. She met a man she would later marry, that was a trucker and being the late 70's early 80's trucking movies had her wanting to learn. Once she obtained her Commercial License, they sold a home in Massachusetts, bought their first big rig and headed out west and all points in between. The marriage needed to end and after 17 years she was left to figure out what path she would travel. The road is hard to leave behind when you love driving so, she bought her own rig and once again worked long hours to pay for it and her home she shared with her 4 Springer Spaniels and one cat. On a fateful day in November of 2000, she was involved in an auto accident that left her with permanent physical disabilities. Left unable to drive big trucks she had to try and regroup. It was not until 10 years later having gone through tough times; did she feel an urge to create again. She took up beading and then with her mom they tried Fusing. Creating jewelry and meeting people that liked what she was doing lasted for a few years until she signed up for a $25 Watercolor class with a Russian artist here in NH. That night of this two-hour class unleashed the love for painting again and one after another colorful landscape flowed from within her and out onto her wet piece of paper she was hooked! For the last seven years she has created art, art from nothing, no photos were used though she has tried as she is also back to taking photographs that you will see along with her watercolors here. Many of her original paintings now reside with collectors here in the US and abroad. She has sold artwork in a local gallery and also was chosen for the month of December in a local calendar that was part of a fundraising effort in New Hampshire's Seacoast area with the reception for all chosen artists at a well-known Portsmouth NH toy store. She was also given the cover of a local NH publication Fiddleheads with a short story about her and a few more of her paintings included which also led to even more private sales. Life away from her rig has been hard to adjust to but she has finally found peace with a brush in her hand and a wet piece of paper or her hands in the dirt growing beautiful things. You are welcome to reach out if you are interested in purchasing an original. (Doug Mays)

Six on Saturday-It’s Happening

Today is the Run for the Roses in Kentucky and I have my top choices to Win, Place and Show as well as an Exacta, Tribeca and Superfecta now do I go to the casino and place my bet or use Twin Spires or Draft King? One thing for sure gorgeous roses are not in my 6 this week but they are growing nicely. Have a wonderful weekend. Eunice

Lions and Bears

Maybe a 450 lb black bear has decided my place is so pretty he likes to come here along with the cat. Both shots are from mornings when Brady and I love to walk the property. Now we need our heads on swivel. Have a wonderful weekend!
