As the bassist for Storms Within, my job doesn't change based on who is at the mic because I'm there to keep the rhythm tight and lay down a heavy low end. But throughout my career, I’ve always gravitated towards bands with strong frontwomen because they possess an undeniable command of the room that draws the crowd right in. Metal is often overlooked when it comes to celebrating women in music, so seeing our genre honored with Women In Metal: You Will Know My Name is incredibly gratifying. Sharing these personal songs on this specific stage is a milestone I’m grateful to experience.
