Hi there :)

Inspiration strikes in the most unexpected ways.

I recently learned of a very hard story of a photographer friend of mine. My heart and prayers go out to him and his loved ones as their lives will change forever in a very short time.

Through that story however, I made a connection with a wonderful gal who teaches photography classes up in Portland. I'll be stepping out of my bubble with the full support of my family in order to attend one of her classes on Saturday.

I'm very excited, feel very inspired to dive into this hidden passion and still heartbroken for my friend's reality. I'm sharing this as a reminder to all that very often joy is mixed with sadness, which is perhaps why both are so potent.

I firmly believe God can take any story of tragedy and bring something good from it for His glory. I look forward to sharing more with you all.

Hello :) Are you still here? Did I scare you away with my months and months of silence? Well, I'm back! If you still follow this page, I'm so grateful! Please comment and say hello, if you like, or keep scrolling if you don't. This is a positive place and I fully intend to keep it that way!

Life happens, computers crash, people move and cameras get older. Don't give up! Dreams can't become dreams if they dissappear. Hope it's fragile but it's hard to kill.

So... Want to know why I'm back? Well, cuz the planets aligned and our savings paid off, literally!

This is me, camera in tow, on the way to a camera class to learn how to take better quality photos! I plan to add more to this page, but it all takes just one step at a time.

What is your inspiration this month? I'm thinking rainbows... It is that season here in Oregon!

The shutter-bug is still alive! I can't believe how blessed I am to be able to go to the beautiful tulip fields last weekend, and then spend more than half a day at one of my favorite waterfall hikes - Sweet Creek! I haven't been here for 4-5 years! Yes, I will share more pix. Just as soon as I sit down for a bit...

Note to self: What do people look for in a trustworthy photographer? Answer: We found a wonderful photographer. She took our pictures back in June as well. She's talented, reasonably priced, quick turn around, and provides the digital files so I can order my own prints. We love her.

Hello! Last night, I was given the rare opportunity to bless a friend I hadn't seen in 2 years. I had a cd/album of pictures of her daughter who passed away and when I first gave it to her back then, the cd didn't work with her computer. Last night, after 1 1/2 hours of searching and reburning the disc, I was able to resolve that for her! We had a great time chatting and catching up while looking at the pictures of my friend, her beautiful daughter.

This is what Ripple in Time is all about-keeping memories. I have a lot of organizing to do, and a computer rebuild, but the purpose of Ripple is alive and well! The right time will come and you'll know it when it does! Happy memory making!

We decided it was time for an evening of relaxation. We joined the First Friday art walk in downtown Eugene and went to say hi to our artist family at Pacific Rim Art Guild! It was wonderful to get some great hugs and big smiles as we said hello again. They were all amazed at how much Emily has grown, of course. I'm not quite ready to go back as a full member yet, but our journey is turning that direction. I even know what piece I will finish as my first debut back :) Nope, not telling! Timing is everything. Still waiting patiently for God's will.
