Restoration - Enhancement - Glamorization - I can fix any photo for personal or business use! I do more than 'fix' photos --- I bring your memories back to life! After many years, I am so thrilled to have found a way to combine my creative side, my technical and logical side, and help others! As an Army Brat, I didn't have a hometown or life-long school/childhood friends like most people do. We mo
ved 12 times in 18 years, and the longest we lived anywhere was 2 years. (The first time my husband and I lived in a place for 3 years, I thought I would go crazy!)
While I loved moving to new places, meeting new friends, and going to new schools, it was always hard to work on those assignments that involved family or family history. I rarely had contact with our extended family --- on both sides. It wasn't until I got older and talking to people my age that I realized I had no real concept of "hometown" and growing up with cousins, aunts, and uncles. We visited relatives every chance we got, but it could be 4 - 10 (or more) years between visits. I've always loved looking through the family photo albums that my mom and dad had put together, and when I would see some torn, faded, or creased photos and I would feel sad that a piece of "our" history was "ruined". I know it is silly, but my love for photographs is in my DNA and I become very sentimental when I see people selling their family photos on Antique Roadshow. Even if you don't know who the person is, someone at some point may! I learned how to fix photos while working as a layout artist on a magazine and enjoyed it so much that I started working on some of the damaged family photos that had been passed down to me. I found that not only do I enjoy returning photos to their original condition, but that each photograph tells a story -- unique to that setting and to the people in the photo. Understanding that moment captured on film and applying those feelings to the restoration efforts can make all the difference between a satisfactory restoration and an excellent restoration. My heartfelt promise to you: When you turn over “Mom’s” photo to me, I will treat it with great love and respect. I will treat it as if it were my own treasured memento.
