Train travel by way of the Slim Princess was a reality in the late 1800's. The Eastern Sierra railway was built to help the mining industry and did so until highway 395 was paved in 1931. Rugged country and so beautiful too. This is a new addition to my "Postcard" series. Happy Wednesday friends!📸🚂

Minnesota Point, on a frigid winter evening I saw the longship coming in to the harbor. It was thrilling to watch it approach the lift bridge and hear the men shouting “Hello Minnesota”! An experience I’ll never forget. I decided to rework this composition. I’ve included a few of the different steps along the way.

As we close in on the final days of 2025, I look forward to all the creative possibilities and new projects that lay ahead. I enjoy looking back at the art I create during the year. Whether it was a personal project, like a wedding card for my son and his new bride, or commissioned artwork, the process let’s me review and reflect on lessons learned, places I’ve traveled or dreamed of traveling and my family and friends I’ve been with along the way. Here’s to our future! May the new year bring good health, peace, and prosperity your way as well as the positive change you seek. ☮️”Art Sampler 2025” 📸🖼️
