I feel like most moms can relate to this (and if you haven’t had your baby yet, your time is coming). As your pregnancy starts coming to the end and the nursery is just about complete, only missing that sweet little bundle of joy, you find yourself longing to be in that room. Your baby’s nursery is so thoughtfully created! Details of your own interests that you are excited to share with them as they grow, soft blankets and stuffies that you imagine comforting them the first several years of their life, and beautiful pieces of furniture you’ve probably searched high and low for that compliment the room just right all fill your new favorite room of the house. When I was pregnant with my little girl, I remember sitting in her rocking chair to answer emails as our sweet dog, Baily, laid next to me. The room was quiet and filled with so much anticipation as we waited for baby girl’s arrival!
I always love a studio session but this is something a studio can never replicate! If you’re torn between in-home or a studio session, think about your home and your baby’s nursery. If it’s something you’ve poured hours into and you want authentic newborn photos that highlight your hard work and a room that is unfortunately very temporary, maybe an in-home session is for you!
