Our time in Acadia National Park was a short one but a great one. While I didn’t get to see all the wildlife I had hoped, I tried my hand at shooting some landscape photos and was pleased with how they turned out.

I took a drive yesterday to process my thoughts about things and I ended up asking, “God, where are you?”

Well, He answered me — in a way that was akin to, “I’ll meet you on the road you grew up on. Come see me for a few minutes.”

And that’s what I got. That spectacular double rainbow was visible for only a few minutes before it started to disappear.

I was reminded that while we may not always receive the answers we want when we want them, God is always listening — and he reveals himself in his time.

While out on a walk yesterday, I came across a pair of hawks — and didn’t have my camera 🙃. So, after a VERY brisk walk back to the house to get it, I came back to the same spot and one was still there. Out of about 60 or more photos, these were my favorites. You can see a screech in a couple of them 😄

Managed to get a long-distance shot of a bald eagle while at Bluestone Lake State Park in Hinton, WV, during the Eagle Watching gathering. I met some wonderful folks, talked about camera schtuff, gave and received advice, and got to enjoy southern West Virginia.
