Most sellers think photo day is about making the home look perfect.

It's not.

The goal is to help buyers understand the home—not hide it.

Before photo day, focus on removing distractions, not every imperfection.

✅ Clear countertops
✅ Replace burned-out light bulbs
✅ Move trash cans and vehicles
✅ Tidy up personal items

Things like a small paint scuff or an older appliance are part of the home's current condition. Trying to hide every flaw can create expectations the home can't meet when buyers walk through the front door.

A simple question to ask before photo day:

"Does this help buyers understand the home better, or am I just trying to make it look perfect?"
