Sometimes it’s necessary to stop consuming and start creating. I like to do it in seasons usually. I’ll build up a lot of inspiration and eventually I create so much that the inspiration falls away and I listen to myself.

With every painting I do, I try to find a lesson or something I can learn from it. Then I use that and take it into the next painting session. Over time, I’ve learned a tons of lessons and improved my work slowly but surely.
