Holly D is a custom lifestyle portrait photographer who primarily uses natural light and shoots on location specializing in Weddings, Seniors/Fashion, and Families. Her passion capturing unscripted moments to save them forever in her photographs. People are drawn to Holly D for her personality and ability to connect with her subjects, unique style and eye, and willingness to approach each project

with ambition. Holly D has taken numerous workshops and trained around the country. She is based out of the Fargo-Moorhead area and travels to serve the lakes area, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and beyond. Recently she has had projects in Chicago, Florida, Nashville, Texas, Georgia, Philadelphia, Wyoming, Washington D.C., Puerto Vallarta, Antigua, and the Dominican Republic. Holly D works on commercial projects for boutiques and magazines, receiving the honor of having several print covers of various publications. Holly D’s work has been published in local, national, and international publications. She has been a locally featured artist at galleries of various sorts. Holly D was thrilled to be named one of the top 5 photographers in Fargo-Moorhead by High Plains Reader three years running, being voted Best Photographer in 2016. Most recently Holly D received much accolade for a project near to her heart, The Kirkbride Project. This is a movement to save a historic building in Fergus Falls that is fighting the wrecking ball. Holly took her artistic abilities and coupled it with a high fashion model shoot to draw attention to the complex. It is the hope that with the project’s statewide gallery showings it will continue to draw in potential investors and positive recognition. Another project regarding this building is Project Kirkbride. For more information on this massive undertaking please visit the website www.projectkirkbride.org. She was also recently named to the board of for PreservationWorks, another organization working to actively save and preserve these important structures. Holly D is heavily involved in her community. She is an affiliated photographer with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep and also enjoys her work volunteering for Ampersand Families via the Minnesota Heart Gallery. Holly D is also an active member in the Jaycees; putting her gifts to work wherever she may go.

via Lend A Hand Up >> In Spring of 2025, Mckenna Kiel, a beloved 2nd grade teacher, was diagnosed with Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma, a rare uterine cancer. Believed to be low-grade and contained, she underwent a hysterectomy. In February of 2026, during a follow-up, her condition took a devastating turn. Imaging revealed that the cancer had spread to her lungs, along with a large pelvic mass affecting her bladder and kidney function. A biopsy confirmed metastatic disease. Mckenna is beginning daily radiation treatments, with chemotherapy to follow.
