ven me perspective into what it is like for other small business owners, dreamers, and doers. If I was only given one group of people that I could advocate for, it would be the entrepreneur. Business is business, but behind all those numbers, hours, and skills is a heart that wants to stand out. Passion is real, but so is the competition and critique. The only way any of us are going to stand out, is if we stay true to who we are and what we stand for. This is what I want to advocate for!

Today, my boy and I went down to the river since it was warmer outside just to get some fresh air. I brought my camera and went looking for different colors along the shoreline during this sunny mid winter day.

I've been wanting to find color inspiration more intentionally in nature and this is how I envisioned it happening. It definitely isn't easy finding a variety of colors during a northeast winter, but I think I had success.

I've been working for Maxine from The Maxx Group for the past 4 years as a photographer and marketing specialist. She gave me the space to learn and grow in real estate photography. Working against the odds as a woman real estate broker, she's shown me what hard work looks like. Since the pandemic, real estate has changed so much upstate. She hasn't skipped a beat. 🤍

The spring in the northeast can be so raw. Everything looks like it can breathe again, yet everything is bare. Pushing through with new life. Vulnerable. Inside my home, all winter long, I have dried plants, fake plants, and a few live plants. We are at a point where being inside is leaving us raw. Vulnerable to our senses wanting to break out of confinement. I am ready for warmth and life.

Quirky is good. But its kinda awkward.

I like "dressing up" sometimes but I feel like I am just like echinacea. Pretty pink petals with this ginormous and spiky center. Yet somehow I need to learn a lesson or 2 from this flower. It doesn't seem phased by it all. She's just a boss.

For the past several months I've been working closely with the Founder of SproutChange, Priscila Espinosa, and her team bringing her brand to visual life. It has been an open and honest process of blending my skills with her vision.

It's a sacred space working with an entrepreneur in that beginning phase. Lots of vulnerability and unknowns go into evolving and it's a space I am willing to tread. I too am figuring this all out too!
