Okay group talk time.

One of the biggest misconceptions about photography is that a photographer's job is to make you look like someone else. It isn't.

My job is to capture YOU. The way you laugh, the way you connect with the people you love, the little expressions and moments that make you uniquely you. The best photos aren't the ones where you look unrecognizable; they're the ones where you look back years later and say, "Yep, that's exactly who I was."

Something else that people don't always realize is that every session is influenced by factors outside of our control. The location you choose, the weather that day, the season, and even the time of day all play a huge role in how your photos turn out.

A beach at sunset feels completely different than a downtown street at noon. A cloudy evening creates soft, dreamy light, while a bright sunny day brings bold colors and contrast. The same person in the exact same outfit can have two completely different galleries simply because the environment changed. That's just the beauty of photography.

It's not about creating a perfect, copied version of someone else's Pinterest board. It's about documenting your story, in your season of life, exactly as it happened.

And honestly? That's what makes your photos worth keeping ๐Ÿ’•

I woke up this morning feeling overwhelmed with gratitude for this little business and the life it has given me.

When I say I have the best clients, I truly mean it. Photography has given me so much more than beautiful images- it has given me friendships, community, purpose, and connections that I never could have imagined when I first picked up a camera.

Every one of my closest Michigan friendships started because of this dream. A dream that began as a whim, a new hobby, a "what if," and slowly grew into something bigger than I ever thought possible. The people in my life today, the community I've built, and so many of the memories I hold dear exist because YOU trusted me to capture your moments.

Thank you for inviting me into some of the most meaningful moments of your lives. Thank you for continuing to come back, year after year, and allowing me to watch your families grow, celebrate your milestones, and preserve memories that matter.
