Some properties (and people too 🤩 ) come alive at night. Like this one, University Station, in Hollywood, Florida built by Ground level and drone night photography makes for unusual views of architecture and the environment. I love exploringĀ for brands that live both in day and atĀ night. If you are in this space, let’s get to work!

In the spirit of . Here is CEO , Brittany Perkins Castillo of AshBritt for Florida Trend Magazine. AshBritt, responds to hundreds of natural disasters like hurricanes, floods, fires all over the country.Ā She has written two children’s books about coping with disasters and created the Women in Emergency Management Initiative in 2019 to support and mentor more women in this male-dominated field. And, yes, she’s easy to photograph and really really cool : )

This is ā€˜Little G’, my friend’s young grandson playing with toy soldiers on the diningroom table.
He built a battlefield of soldiers. Total concentration and imagination.
At the time it felt innocent. I loved spending this quality time with him.
But looking at the pictures now, with real wars filling the news, it’s harder to see it the same way.
We hand children tiny guns and tanks and toy soldiers and call it play.ļæ½We let them rehearse war before they even understand what it is.
The photographs haven’t changed.
Only the world around them has. How many of our kids will be sent to their deaths for billionaires to become trillionaires?

This is Barbara and Betty. A decade ago, I photographed a documentary project titled Isolation Unveiled: Refocusing Alzheimer’s and Caregiving. What I learned is that the only thing that makes a difference and made a difference was love.

If you’re working in this space and believe in the power of story, I’d love to connect. Here is a link to that project:

This is Nellie and Bob. A decade ago, I photographed a documentary project titled Isolation Unveiled: Refocusing Alzheimer’s and Caregiving. Writer Ron McCoy brought the work to life through biographical narratives of caregivers whose voices are too often unheard.

The project went on to exist as a series of exhibits in health-related environments and a book for creating space for reflection and dialogue around Alzheimer’s and caregiving. After that, the work was stored away for many years, but the reality it speaks to never disappeared.

Looking back, I’m reminded of the power of visual storytelling in healthcare, not only to inform, but to humanize, to connect, and to create deeper awareness.
Now feels like the right time to share this work again.

I’m interested in collaborating with healthcare organizations, pharmaceutical companies, researchers, advocacy groups, and agencies on projects that spotlight patient experiences, caregivers, and the realities of living with neurological conditions.

If you’re working in this space and believe in the power of story, I’d love to connect. Here is a link to that project:
