On set filming a YouTube series yesterday and I notice a bearded gentleman eyeballing me from his golf cart.

I ask how his day is going and compliment his beard.

He's nice enough.

I head back the other direction carrying my slate, which is what the clapper majigger in the picture below is called.

From behind me I hear the bearded man say,

"Hey can I ask a quick favor?"

I reply sure and walk over.

Rather sheepishly he asks if he can see the slate and says something quietly about how he's always wanted too...

Then, without warning, he yells out the writing on the slate, clacks it, looks at me and says,

"Thanks man, that was awesome."

Out here making dreams come true, one clacky thing at a time.
