Circle B Bar Reserve is an old cattle ranch that has been bought and now maintained by Polk County. If you have a chance to go I highly recommend it. The landscape is beautiful and the wildlife is abundant.

I visited the McKee Botanical Garden Festival of Lights on Saturday. What a beautiful display of festive decorations and lights. There is also a dinosaur display throughout the garden as well. They have an outdoor movie along with pictures with Santa. McKee is located in Vero not to far away!

While I was at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge I came across a this bird which every suspects is a hybrid, a rare bird in nature according to Wikipedia. "A bird hybrid is a bird that has two different species as parents. The resulting bird can present with any combination of characters from the parent species, from totally identical to completely different. Usually, the bird hybrid shows intermediate characteristics between the two species. A "successful" hybrid is one demonstrated to produce fertile offspring. According to the most recent estimates, about 16% of all wild bird species have been known to hybridize with one another." It's a beautiful combination of whatever it is.

I went to Merritt Island a couple of weeks ago and found this guy along Black Point Drive.

I went to Stick Marsh the other day and it did not disappoint. The spoonbills were flying collecting nesting materials along with other birds, the weather was beautiful and I met a couple of nice people.
