Here, kitty kitty 🐅

T-38s from the 80th Flying Training Wing made a quick stop in Fort Smith yesterday.

- The 80th FTW hosts the world’s only internationally manned and led pilot training program.
- The ENJJPT (Euro-Nato Joint Jet Pilot Training) program is responsible for training fighter pilots from allied NATO countries!
- The 80th FTW also trains about 65% of all U.S. Air Force fighter pilots!

Great to have them stop by!

Today, I had the privilege of watching the VMFA-112 “Cowboys”, out of JRB Fort Worth, work alongside Ebbing Air National Guard Base and Ebbing ANG "188th" Fire & Emergency Services to re-certify the BAK-14 arresting system. The cable can be raised by Air Traffic Control, allowing any aircraft with a tailhook to catch the cable. The certification process ensures that the arresting system functions properly, and is ready to go in case of an emergency.

Those who know me know that I really do not like to be vulnerable, especially publicly. However, I think it’s important for people to know that they are not alone. Anyone can be going through it, even if we can’t always see it.

Life has been kicking my butt lately. I have been exhausted. I’ve been questioning myself a lot. I’ve isolated myself. I’ve been burnt out and there have been days where I wondered if I even had anything left to give.

Every time I pick up my camera, things get a little quieter. It’s my escape. My time to create. Photography reminds me that there’s still lots of good out there. There’s a lot of beauty worth seeing and a lot more pictures to take.

It also reminds me to be thankful. So, to everyone that’s checked on me, shared my work, invited me places, trusted me with your memories, or even just liked my content… thank you.

Y’all have probably helped me more than you realize. Y’all take care of yourselves and check on your friends 🫶🏼

Tyler and I went to the big 3rd of July Celebration in City of Barling, Arkansas last night! Food was great, lots of fun stuff for the kids, and a great firework show!

FIXER11 in for a fuel stop on Tuesday. This jet is headed to the depot for repairs.
The #6 jet wears the name of Lieutenant Commander Connor “Buddy” O’Donnell, the current lead solo for the Blues. The pilot pictured is not with the Blues, but he still puts on a great show for us when he’s in town! 😎
