In 2014 ACOG, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, sent out a press release stating that doulas are "underutilized" and are "one of the most effective tools to improve labor & delivery outcomes.”

Studies have shown time and time again that professional doulas are valuable, evidence-based members of the birth team that can provide numerous benefits to the ENTIRE family unit.
