A Little Time in Front of the Camera

I had the opportunity to photograph my niece today, and we had a lot of fun with it.

We tried a few different looks, played with the light, and just let the camera find the moments. I’m really happy with how this set came together. ❤️

I love moments like these.

The Great Egrets were flying together through the evening light, while this lone hawk caught the first light of morning. Two completely different moments, each with its own kind of beauty.

These are the moments I’m out there looking for—not necessarily the perfect photograph, but those unexpected seconds when something beautiful happens right in front of you. Those are the moments that make carrying a camera worth it.

A walk through Eagle Marsh.

I went out looking for whatever the evening had to offer, and somehow came home with a little bit of everything—wildflowers, grasses, golden light, and an unexpected little visitor along the way.

Nothing spectacular. Just one of those outings where you slow down, look around, and realize there was a lot more there than you noticed at first.
