A tiny life/business update from me 🤎

Late last week, my gallbladder apparently decided it was time to cause some absolute chaos. 😂😭
What I thought was a very bad gallbladder attack turned into a hospital stay, and I’m finally back home now. We have some answers and a plan for moving forward—it’s just going to take a little time to get everything sorted out.
I'm okay 🤎 and slowly getting back to things as they should be.
But for the next little bit, things around here may move a little slower than usual.

And if it takes me a little longer than normal to respond, I’m not ignoring you—I’m just trying to balance taking care of my business with taking care of the human who runs it. 😂
Hopefully this is just a small speed bump and I’ll be back to wandering through fields with a camera and a coffee before you know it.
In the meantime, thank you for giving me a little extra grace while I get myself put back together. 🤎

“But is 15 minutes actually enough time for family photos?”

I get it. 😂

Fifteen minutes sounds VERY short when you're thinking about getting everyone together, getting the kids to cooperate, getting a good photo of the whole family AND somehow getting all those sweet little in-between moments too.

But here's the thing:

I work fast. And your family doesn't need to be perfect for 15 minutes.

We play. We move. We snuggle. We get everybody together, break everybody apart, let your kids be their wonderfully weird little selves—and somewhere in the middle of all of that, we make a whole lot of magic. 🤎

Every single image in this Reel came from ONE 15-minute family session.

So yes.

Fifteen minutes can be plenty. 😉

Family photos don't have to be a whole production.
Okay, that's a lie. 😂
You have to find a date when nobody has soccer, football, a birthday party, or some other random obligation you forgot about.
You have to figure out what everyone is wearing.
You have to get the kids dressed without somebody spilling something on themselves.
You have to convince your husband that yes, he really does need to wear the shirt you laid out for him.
And then somehow get everybody out the door on time.
It's a production. 😂

But once you get to me?
That part doesn't have to be.
You don't need to know how to pose. Your kids don't need to suddenly develop impeccable manners. And nobody needs to spend an hour staring at my camera with a perfect smile.
Come as you are.
I'll take it from there. 🤎

Did I have other things I could have been doing?
Absolutely.

But turns out, puttering around my house moving s**t three inches to the left and then back again until my brain finally goes ✨yes✨ is one of my favorite hobbies.

And I mean...
BUT LOOK HOW COZY SHE IS.

Worth it.

POV: Your house is messy, nobody knows what day it is…and somehow you've never loved it more.

There’s something about those first few weeks with a new baby that feels like living in a tiny little time warp. 🤎

Nobody really knows what day it is. Sleep is questionable. Your oldest suddenly looks approximately seventeen years old. 😂

And somehow, this tiny person you just met already feels like they’ve always belonged right there in the middle of everything.

That’s why I love newborn sessions at home so much. Not because your house is perfect. Not because everyone is perfectly rested, coordinated, and knows exactly what to do. But because this is where your baby became part of your family.

On your couch. In your arms. With big brother climbing in for kisses while everyone figures out this brand-new version of home together.

And one day, when these newborn days feel impossibly far away, you’ll still have this. A little proof of what it felt like when they first belonged to all of you. 🤎

One of my favorite compliments isn't "Your photos are beautiful."

It's hearing...

"That was so much easier than I expected."
Because beautiful photos start long before I ever press the shutter.

They start the moment your family feels safe enough to simply be themselves.

Fall and Christmas are open for booking and have already started filling up - I am so excited to see your beautiful families this year.
