The accident lasted seconds. Survival was only the beginning.

On June 18, 2022, Kelsey and Cameron were riding their motorcycle on Ridge Road when a distracted driver crossed the center line and hit them head-on.

Their lives changed in seconds.

But this film isn’t about those few seconds.

It’s about everything that came after.

Three years ago, we had the opportunity to meet Kelsey and Cameron and help tell their story. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of documenting different chapters of their lives, including their wedding and now another chapter of a story that never stopped when the cameras went away.

More than four years after the accident, Kelsey sat down with us again.

We talked about pain. Motherhood. Marriage. Independence. The things people don’t see. The things that don’t disappear because the hospital stay is over or the headlines have moved on.

And we talked about Harper, the daughter Kelsey was thinking about while she was lying on Ridge Road fighting to survive.

More than four years ago, Kelsey and Cameron’s lives changed forever on Ridge Road when a distracted driver crossed the center line and hit their motorcycle head-on.

But the accident isn’t where their story ends.

Over the past three years, we’ve had the privilege of documenting different chapters of their lives, from first sharing their story to filming their wedding and now sitting down with Kelsey again to talk about what survival looks like years later.

This is the first minute of STILL HERE, a new documentary about everything that comes after surviving.

The pain. The changes. Motherhood. Marriage. Independence. And a life that kept moving long after the headlines disappeared.

You’re going to forget your wedding day.

We asked Kelsey a question we’d been wanting to ask since we first heard her story:

“If you could sit beside the Kelsey lying on Ridge Road that day for 30 seconds, what would you tell her?”

Her answer wasn’t about changing what happened. It was about knowing what she knows now.

That things were going to work out. That what seemed unimaginable in those first moments wouldn’t always feel that way. And that her daughter would grow up knowing their life together as normal, and she would be okay with that.

Kelsey and Cameron currently have two vans in need of repairs, and this is the story of the first one.

For their family, having reliable transportation is about so much more than getting from one place to another. It means independence, getting to appointments, taking care of everyday responsibilities, and being able to keep moving forward.

Three years ago, we had the opportunity to meet Kelsey and Cameron and help tell their story after a devastating accident changed their lives forever.

Since then, we’ve had the privilege of following their journey and capturing some incredible moments along the way.

Jessa, Travis & Logann 🤍

There’s something hard to beat about a family session in the mountains, especially with views like Waterrock K**b. We spent the evening capturing Jessa, Travis, and their daughter Logann simply enjoying time together, with plenty of laughs, sweet moments, and those little interactions that make family photos mean so much more as the years go by.

We loved getting to document this season of life for their family against one of our favorite Western North Carolina backdrops. These are the kinds of memories we hope they’ll look back on for years to come. 📸⛰️
