Here I am, years after taking these photos of my kids, wishing I was in more of them.

I was so busy capturing them that I barely got in front of the camera myself. I remember telling myself, ā€œAll I need is one.ā€

And I love that one. But now I wish I hadnā€™t talked myself out of taking more. More of us together. More of how I held them and how little they were beside me.

Because I was there, too.

So mama, get in the photos. And when you catch yourself saying, ā€œJust one is enough,ā€ give yourself a few more. I wish I had. ā¤ļø

Mamas, you know those little things your kids do that you wish you could bottle up? šŸ„¹

The way they squeeze each other into a hug. The giggles that follow. The little personalities you see every day that donā€™t always come out when someone says, ā€œSmile for the camera.ā€

Those are the things Iā€™m looking for when I photograph your family.

As a mom of three, I know getting everyone ready for photos can feel like one more thing on an already full plate. Maybe youā€™re worried your kids wonā€™t sit still, someone will be having a hard day, or the whole thing will feel stressful.

Thereā€™s room for breaks, for moving around, and for taking a little time to warm up. You can love a photo like this without everyone looking at the camera. šŸ„°
