🌟 🌟 SNEAK PEEK 🌟 🌟

Took this senior out to find some of the last wildflowers of the season! We had a huge warm up last week that did in much of flowers in. We managed to find yellows, whites, and purples!

MARINE CORP BOOTCAMP GRADUATION

To say how proud we are is an understatement. This BaaBaa got to see a different side of military life than what she experiences through my family. A young man just graduating high school and entering of the world of manhood. And, I will be the first to admit.... Marine Corp life is a tad more different than Air Force life. I have had friends come to me and say, "isn't that the kid you were so excited to meet when you and Ryan first started dating?? Has it really been that long that he can join the military??" Why, yes. Yes he is.

Congrats, Justen. We love you and the man you are becoming. Enjoy job training, and can't wait to hear more about your adventures!

THE L O'HANA | JENNY HANSEN PHOTOGRAPHY | FAMILY PORTRAITS

We have been back on the mainland since mid-July 2025, amd this upper-highs of 60* is really tough. I shouldn't complain, there are other areas across the US with well below freezing temperatures. I often get asked if I miss Oahu. I do and I don't.

Having consistent 80* weather year around made it so easy for me to throw on sneakers, get my youngest in the stroller, leash my dog, and walk for 5-miles or more a day.

I really did miss the four seasons. By this time in 2024, we had been on the island for a month, and the trees on base started dropping yellow leaves. Having just left the Central Valley, where fall is a blip, and you really have to hunt for it, it made it hard to believe we were supposed to be headed into spring.

Speaking of spring, wildflowers and almond blossoms are coming. Can you believe that we are almost into February?? Where has the time gone??

MARINE CORP BOOTCAMP GRADUATION

It's been a few months since this happened, but the boy who made me an aunt 18.5-years ago decided to enlist into the USMC! We loved getting to see him show some of the things he's learned, the mountains he has had to ruck, and marching on the parade deck.

FAMILY PORTRAITS | The R Family

My first Central Valley fall family session back on the mainland. It really is one of my favorite seasons. Living on a tropical island with only one season really messed with my need for four seasons.

It's that time of year where families are thinking about Christmas cards! And, as a heads-up, Daylight Savings is Sunday, 2-Nov! The days are getting shorter, meaning later starting morning sessions, and earlier starting evening sessions.

I am currently taking portrait sessions!

Oh, how I have missed fall. Fall and Spring are two of my most favorite seasons. But, my family has moved off island, and we are back in the Central Valley! I am currently taking portrait sessions!

The R Ohana // OAHU FAMILY PORTRAITS // JENNY HANSEN PHOTOGRAPHY

These were our neighbors the entirety of our stay on Hickam AFB. They are sorely missed, but grateful to have had them in our lives. My oldest misses their oldest so much. My youngest and their youngest were also buddies. When we went to visit a park, some kids were driving by in a power wheels, and my youngest yelled his buddies' name. I had to tell him that it wasn't him, that they were off island. Hoping to still get to see them in the future.
