Another thrilling trip through Death Valley! There is so much to see and experience here that I will be coming back for years to come. This was my third year with this group, our leader and organizer Gary is very well informed and a great guide! On the first day we experienced the petroglyphs on the China Lake Navy base. Day two we checked out the Pinnacles near Trona which would be best photographed at dusk or dawn, but still incredible. On Saturday night we attended the Ventura County Astronomy Club's Star Party. We saw many celestial bodies and falling stars! I highly recommend their events. On Sunday we did the Titus loop and Bad Water... Two sites well worth the time. On our way out on Monday we tracked back and drove through Artists Palette which was a famous "Star Wars" site. This is were R2D2 was taken by the Jawas. In case you didn't know...=)
