You never know which photograph is going to become one of the most important things you own.

Right now, it’s just their little face.
The missing tooth.
The messy hair.
The way they smile when you actually get a REAL smile out of them.

And then somehow… they’re bigger.

That’s why I will always believe in taking the pictures — and PRINTING them.

Not because every season needs a perfectly coordinated family photo.

But because this version of them will never exist again. ❤️

And THAT is what we’re documenting.

15 minutes of shoot time

Kids change SO much in a year. They get taller, their little faces change, and somehow another year passes before we realize we didn’t stop long enough to document it.

If you are looking for a photographer that gives you QUANTITY of images… you got the wrong girl 🤣

I’m never going to brag about delivering 100+ images from a session 😂

You know what I WILL brag about?

Creating 10 images you’re absolutely obsessed with.

The kind you can’t stop looking at. The ones you immediately know belong on your wall. The ones your kids will still have long after they’ve forgotten the password to whatever cloud they’re stored in. 😂

My associate photographer Ruth and I been doing this for over 2 decades combined, and one thing we know for sure: MORE doesn’t mean BETTER.

I’d rather slow down, pose you correctly, pay attention to the details, get the lighting right and create photographs that actually DESERVE to be printed.

That’s why across all our Phoenix studios we are putting such a huge focus on albums, canvases and beautiful printed photographs.

I changed the way we do things at Phoenix Photography Studio.

And there’s a reason.

I don’t want to be the photographer who hands you a giant gallery of digital files that live on your phone for the next five years.

I want you to actually have your photographs.

So our new Phoenix Photography collections are built differently.

Every collection now includes not only your carefully selected, professionally retouched digital images — but professional-quality printed photographs AND a canvas for your home.

Because I’ve been doing this long enough to know…

The photograph you love on your phone is wonderful.

But the photograph hanging in your home becomes PART OF YOUR FAMILY.

The framed print your child sees every day MATTERS.

Our sessions are intentionally short and easy. We direct you through everything. We don’t shoot hundreds of images just to hit a number.

If you’ve been in front of my camera… you’ve heard me say it. 👑

I don’t say it because you finally looked a certain way.

I say it when I see YOU. 

The woman who’s been buried under soccer practice, work deadlines, grocery lists, doctor’s appointments, and taking care of everyone else.

The woman who forgot what it feels like to be looked at instead of needed.

The woman who hasn’t seen herself in years.

Sometimes it happens after we laugh.

Sometimes after a tear rolls down your cheek.

Sometimes after you stop asking, “What do I do with my hands?”

And for just a second…

You forget you’re standing in front of my camera.

You forget you’re worried about your stomach.

You forget all the reasons you almost didn’t book.

You’re just…YOU.

That’s when I smile behind my camera and quietly say…

“There she is.”
