Here are a few randoms from when I was covering the Boyne City Little League opening day games. A young Petoskey Little League team was visiting. Aside from coach and bullpen catcher Dennis, I do not know any of these players. If you do tag their parents!

Here are the three young ladies I covered in the game on Monday. Super dry then, Way too wet now. No happy medium at all this spring. Macey, Addison and Kendra didnt seem to mind the dust though. Me...I hit my cameras with the garden hose when I got home lol. Another Rain out tonight. This was the third attempt with Boyne Baseball so I think I will cut my losses with this one. Just doesn't seem meant to be. Working on what do with about Petoskey baseball from last night. The Ga***rd players I will be moving to the district game on the 30th vs Grayling.

Going through last nights images of Vikings/Rayders players. It was pretty challenging conditions between playing in a dust bowl and being mostly backlight. Here is an example of how the dust and shooting through a fence can take away contrast with even the absolute best glass. This was taken with sonys A1ii and 300mm 2.8. Left is straight out of camera and the right is corrected. Going though around 200 images like this takes an annoying amount of time. Just a quick behind the scenes look at after the game work.

This was year two of me covering the Boyne City Little League opening day ceremonies and games. Again, thanks to the board and everyone involved it went off without a hitch. Started with Parade, League photos, little league pledge and first pitch from Bruce (Alpine Chocolat Haus Ga***rd) whom so graciously donates to multiple little leagues. Just wrapped on the 9 Red Devils covered over 4 games this season. What an incredibly fun group of young ladies and coaches to be around. Looks like Friday they will be playing at the Boyne Invitational which I will not be able to make but there are some games on saturday I might be able to make. Perhaps Harbor Springs, Mancelona, Boyne City, Joburg and a few others will be added later this week. While I have seen most of these teams already this season this could be another chance if you were missed the first go around. Send me a message if you have any interest.

Just wrapping up the three Cardinal softball players from thursday night. I headed up for Carley, Marley and Natalee as they hosted the Red Devils. It was good to see a couple of tight games played after a week of some lopsided games.

Three Snowbirds covered in last nights game vs Joburg. Another chilly and windy day...sigh. Thankfully ORORO Heated Apparel is a thing. I felt bad for the girls out there. It has to be tough to go out and try to perform in this kind of weather but they did. Here are some photos of Addison, Maya and Soleil. In a few hours I will be heading up to Onaway to visit the Cards.
