The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe thunderstorm Watch for much of eastern Wyoming and the Western Nebraska Panhandle.

**Tornado Warning**
At 201 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 7 miles north of Horse Creek, or 24 miles northeast of Laramie, moving east at 20 mph.

Locations impacted include. Horse Creek.

Take shelter now! move to a basement or an interior room in the lowest room of a sturdy structure!

The storm prediction center ( not to my surprise) has issued a Meso Scale Discussion for much of eastern Wyoming and the Western Nebraska Panhandle. This is the precursor to a Severe Thunderstorm/Tornado Watch being issued.

Good morning everyone:

Today: Showers and thunderstorms will be likely a long a line from Kaycee, Wyoming to Lusk, Wyoming. A storm or two will be on the strong to marginally severe side with Large hail (1 inch +) and damaging winds being the primary threats. The rest of eastern Wyoming and the Western Nebraska Panhandle will remain dry. Highs for eastern Wyoming will be in the mid to upper 70s and lower 80s, with winds coming out of the south/southeast at 5-15 mph.

Tomorrow: There is a very small chance of a thunderstorm near the Cheyenne area later on in the afternoon/evening. The rest of eastern Wyoming and the Western Nebraska Panhandle will be dry. Highs for eastern Wyoming and the Western Nebraska Panhandle will be in the mid to upper 70s and mid 80s. Winds will be out of the north/ northwest, before shifting out of the east/northeast after 6:00 p.m.

Thursday: Showers and thunderstorms will be likely across portions of eastern Wyoming. A few of these storms will be on the strong to severe side with large hail (1.75 in+), damaging winds, heavy rain, and a couple of tornadoes. Highs for eastern Wyoming and the Western Nebraska Panhandle will be in the mid to upper 70s and mid 80s. Winds will be sporadic at 5-15 mph.

We are targeting the Western Nebraska region for a giant hail, and small tornadic threat today.

A new severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Wheatland, Chugwater, and Slater, Wyoming. Storm is producing 1.25 inch size hail and 60 mph gusts. Storm is moving east.
