I’m Page, and The Ten Acre Wood is the place in Gig Harbor where my story began and continues today. A place my parents built by hand in the 1990s, filled with gardens, art, creativity, and a little bit of magic.

Growing up here taught me that the best discoveries often come from paying attention to where you are. The people, places, and moments that make the journey worth remembering.

Now I’m bringing that same sense of curiosity and wonder into my work. Through documentary-style video and photography, I create keepsakes that feel less like marketing and more like memories.

My hope is to create work that will still matter years from now, that people can return to and pass down.

When I started The Ten Acre Wood, I introduced the idea to the Gig Harbor community, and I was immediately drawn to Denise and Harbor Nook Retreat . A cozy retreat designed for book lovers feels like the perfect fit for our little harbor, but meeting Denise is what really sold me.

She’s the kind of person who makes you feel comfortable the moment you meet her. A screenwriter and fiction writer, member of the Gig Harbor Dragon Boat Team, avid reader, and someone deeply involved in this community, she has such a genuine enthusiasm for the people and places that make Gig Harbor special.

I can already tell she’d be the kind of host who makes a weekend away feel effortless, whether arriving with lifelong friends or hoping to leave with new ones.

Denise has become a fast friend, and I can’t wait to sit down with her, hear more of her story, and share it with all of you soon. ❤️📖🦭

One of the things I’ve been reflecting on lately is how lucky I am to live in a community that continues to grow, evolve, and make space for people to feel seen and welcomed.

Last week, I had the privilege of sitting down with Jennifer Day to hear more about Pride in the Park - Gig Harbor, how it began, and what it means to our community. This weekend, I was able to attend and witness that sense of connection firsthand.

This is the very first story I’ve shared through The Ten Acre Wood, and I can’t think of a better place to begin.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible, and to Pride Gig Harbor for welcoming me in and trusting me to help tell a small part of your story.
