Christine Ann Hallmark, 44, passed away Sunday June 8th. At the time of her passing, Christine was a resident of Glastonbury, CT, but had enjoyed living in Holstein, Iowa, Virginia Beach, Virginia and Gibsonia, Pennsylvania throughout her life. Christine enjoyed wonderful years in Holstein with her beloved departed partner Donald Knop and a fun loving circle of friends. In her heart, Christine was a true child of “The Burgh” having been raised just north of Pittsburgh until her 20s and weaned on a black and gold passion for the Steelers and Penguins along with a good Cappicola and cheese from Pirmani Brothers. Christine had a career in sales and retail but her passion lay in the photography of weddings and portraits for which she received several regional awards and professional accolades. Cherished daughter of Sandra Hallmark, loved sister of Elick Hallmark and Sandra Carlmark, brother in law Howard Carlmark, niece Anja and nephew Justin to whom she will always be Auntie Weena. Christine is survived by a circle of extended family and friends whom she shared laughter, tears and love with over the years. Christine was quick with a genuine smile, a kind word, an infectious laugh and a helping hand for all. She cherished her family and friends and the celebrated gatherings for a birthday or a holiday, a sporting event, the annual pilgrimage to OBX or “just because”. Riding her Harley, walking with Abbey-doo, and having a camera in hand for the picture perfect moment were the things that gave her private joy. We will all hold our memories of her dear in our hearts and treasure the joys she gave us. Family and friends will gather June 18th at Tierney Funeral Home in Manchester from 4 to 6pm with a memorial service following as a celebration of Christine’s life. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make memorial donations to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
