On 28 August, contemporary jazz guitarist Adam Hawley Artist Page brought an evening of electric grooves to Rams Head On Stage. While the venue promised a night of jazz guitar, Hawley delivered all that and more. Fresh off the release of his latest album, “Electric,” Hawley’s live performance was equal parts concert and a masterclass in musicianship.

Personally selected by Maurice White, founder of supergroup Earth, Wind & Fire, to join his label Kalimba Music, Hawley is one of the most successful contemporary jazz guitarists of the last decade. Not only has he worked with Jennifer Lopez, Natalie Cole, Brian McKnight, and more, but his albums and work as a producer have resulted in 20 Billboard #1 hits. Just last year, he was named the Smooth Jazz Airplay Artist of the Year.

On 16 August, legendary country music singer and Grand Ole Opry member, Pam Tillis Official Music Page, brought an evening of stories and songs to Rams Head On Stage The eldest daughter of country legend Mel Tillis, Pam was the first female artist inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in the new millennium. Established in 1925 as a live radio program in Nashville, it evolved into one of the most iconic institutions in country music, having featured country music legends such as Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, and many more. Today it remains a weekly live stage show with radio and TV broadcasts. To become an Opry member is considered one of the highest honors in country music.

On 6 August, Al Jardine, a founding member of The Beach Boys, brought an evening of good vibrations to Maryland Hall in Annapolis. Best known for his lead vocals on the 1965 #1 hit “Help Me, Rhonda,” Jardine played rhythm guitar, sang harmony vocals, and later served as a songwriter and co-producer for The Beach Boys during the 1960s and 70s.

Formed in 1961 in Hawthorne, California, The Beach Boys popularized surf rock nationally and internationally, defining the sunny sound of California with songs about surfing, cars, girls, and carefree youth. Their stacked vocal harmonies, ambitious songwriting, and intricate production led to them being regarded as one of the most innovative pop/rock groups of the ‘60s.

On Sunday, 2 August, rising K-pop group AWU put on an electrifying performance at Otakon—the east coast’s largest Japanese anime convention. Taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, the convention has grown to use every inch of the 2.3 million square foot space since its inception 32 years ago. Renowned for its high-quality musical and industry guests, a record high 47,049 fans came to Washington, DC for the event.

On 16 July, Royale Lynn brought her Royale Pain in the A$$ Tour to Rams Head On Stage. Originally from Aylmer, Ontario, she moved to Nashville to pursue country music. However, having grown up listening to Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, and Seether, she began to pursue a heavier sound, shifting her songs to focus more on the metal side of music.

On 5 July, blues-infused Southern rock ‘n’ roll band Parker Barrow brought their Hold the Mash North American & UK Summer Tour ’26 to Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis. Formed in 2019 by husband-and-wife duo Megan Kane (lead vocals) and Dylan Turner (drums), the band features Alex Bender and Will Tipton on guitar, Kyle Priber on bass, and Eric Safka on keys. Since the release of their debut album, “Jukebox Gypsies,” in 2023, Parker Barrow has earned a reputation for electrifying, high-energy shows.

On 30 June, the idobi Radio Summer School Tour came to The Fillmore Silver Spring. Founded in 2024, the tour focuses on promoting emerging artists and creating a space where music fans can connect, similarly to Vans Warped Tour. This year, Los Angeles-based pop-rock duo Honey Revenge led the tour. Formed in 2021, the band consists of lead vocalist Devin Papadol and guitarist Donny Lloyd. The band chose the name Honey Revenge as it encapsulated the sweet pop and hard rock sound of their music.

South Arcade, an English rock band based out of Oxford, delivered an unforgettable concert to The Fillmore Silver Spring. Formed in 2021, the band is led by singer Harmony Cavelle with Harry Winks on guitar, Ollie Green on bass, and Cody Jones rocking out on the drums. South Arcade takes pop-punk and alternative sounds and spices it up with 2000s nostalgia, drawing on influences from Avril Lavigne, Gwen Stefani, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park.
