One of the best things about being a part of the NC Freedom Fest team is getting to do things to serve the community in ways I wouldn't ever have had. A few weeks ago we joined together with Kriquette's Kidz and Hope Extended to serve during the Hearts Apart dinner at Seymour Johnson. My job? Watermelon...and taking a few photos.

About 20% of new businesses fail in their very first year of operation. By year 5 it increases to 50%. If you don’t actively guide your business to where you want it to go it will go where you don’t want it to go…or worse…not go at all.

As I work on a roadmap to steer my business I’d love input. What content do you enjoy seeing from BBCM? What would you like to see that you haven’t seen or would like to see more of?

Every year NC Freedom Fest grows and there’s more and different challenges that arise with the marketing, but it’s fun to be able to put ideas like this in action. I love this reel that shows how the journey of a Grammy award winning talent like Ashley McBryde could have started just like so many kids.

Recently traveled to Henderson to pick up a 100 year old letterpress drawer that was used at the Daily Dispatch, the newspaper where my love of photojournalism began, and I wanted to support a newer local restaurant.

You guys, I'm kinda mad that someone didn't tell me about Punjabi Tadka Indian Cuisine and how good it is! I took my camera in to keep it out of the heat, but I wasn't intending on using it if the food was bad (or ugly).

Something told me to take my camera with me and I'm so glad I did!

You wouldn't believe the day we had getting these photos for Jackie Houser's cover feature on the summer edition of Attorney at Law Magazine! It started with a leaky pipe, but ended with a great dinner. Days like this one make me glad flexibility is one of my strongest skills.

NC Freedom Fest joined the Wilson Warbirds for Heroes Night a few weeks ago and MAN was it fun to watch a game with a section full of people you knew! 10/10 would recommend going to a baseball game that's a fundraiser for an organization you care about.

Occasionally I'll get a call from someone who needs to free their domain from a company that raises their rates as much as 20% annually and doesn't communicate or make requested changes. Sometimes I get a chance to prevent that from happening.

Paula had gotten a quote from a company and she recognized it was not only out of her budget, but seemed inflated for her needs. She wanted a place where she could not only showcase her available listings, but past listings as well.

In phase one we built an easy to navigate website that's visually clean and serves as a way to generate leads. Phase two will include more tailored design with the help of another designer to build in code on the back end.
