Jeff's Camera Taking photos to inspire faith šŸ•Šļø A photo is a simple and powerful expression.

Wonderment under endless stars, miniaturized beneath towering old growth, breathless at the fiery sunset, tranquilized by the serenade of meadowlarks; He whispers, ā€œYou are my beloved.ā€ And I lift my camera to capture the moment so He can tell you too.

Grand Coulee Dam shone bright red last night.

We remember the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.
May the Creator bring comfort to grieving hearts, strength to families, and Light that leads to an end of this tragedy— now and in the generations to come.

Roxanne is my very best friend. ā¤ļø

We went on a date this weekend, and I asked if she wanted to see something special with me. She said yes, so after dinner, I took her out, hoping to find burrowing owls that had returned from their winter migration. Of course, I had my camera. šŸ™‚

We ended up watching a pair hunting at sunset for over an hour, staying until it was too dark to photograph.

There’s something really special about when the person you love steps into your passion—especially on date night. We had an absolute blast!

(And for those who haven’t seen them before—burrowing owls are tiny, about the size of a robin.)

It is said that listening is an art. I wonder how much being a good listener has more to do with self-control and consideration of others than being artistic. We all like to be heard. Listen carefully and selflessly to someone today.
P.S. The Canadian Goslings have just hatched in our neck of the woods (or our end of the lake) šŸ˜€.

It's that volatile springtime of the year when shadow and sun seem to walk together, creating stunning contrasts! I captured this scene yesterday just south of the Million Dollar Mile along Banks Lake.

Photographing nature is always at the top of my list—but this time, a client asked me to capture a true ā€œforce of nature.ā€ It turned into an incredibly fun session.

With stormy skies overhead and cracked pavement beneath us, we carefully positioned the car to build the composition around what I’ve titled ā€œA Storm is Coming.ā€

Background:
This shoot came together at the last minute—my client only had the car available that afternoon, so we committed regardless of the weather. As the car arrived on location, the sky began to shift, and the clouds opened up into the most dramatic light of the day. Just over an hour later, as the session wrapped up, a light sprinkle began—that’s the moment this shot was captured.

Divine guidance and interaction are the foundations for my photography work. I’m grateful to the Creator for those moments when everything aligns so perfectly.

Last evening's sunset over Moses Lake was stunning with the Cascade Mountain Range silhouetted on the horizon. It was a spontaneous pull over by the side of the road as we were driving through... which can often yield the best opportunities! Which is a good reason to always carry a camera :)

RARE SIGHTING (at least for me)

Workers performing maintenance on the Grand Coulee Dam spillway provide a great sense of the immense size of the dam.

I looked out at the weather and knew what I needed to do. A great day for black-and-white photography and the perfect subject - Grand Coulee Dam. As maintenance is in progress, the gates at the top of the spillway are lowered, making the arches look extra tall and pronounced.
