My mom came to visit me in Grand Forks from Michigan in May and we made the most of it!

We went shopping, she picked out some new dresses, and naturally we had to do a photoshoot with them. It was such a fun afternoon and one of my favorite sessions I have done. There is something extra special about getting to turn the camera on someone you love.

So grateful she made the trip out. Love you, Mom! 💚

One of my favorite parts of this work is getting to partner with organizations that are doing cool things in the community.

Last year I had the opportunity to work with the Grand Forks Downtown Development Association to capture photos promoting Grand Rides, the local bike share program powered by Altru Health System. We spent an evening on the Greenway and it was such a fun session. There is something special about capturing people genuinely enjoying biking in their community.

I absolutely love capturing these types of photos, and I am grateful to the DDA for the opportunity to be part of what they are building here in Grand Forks. 💚

As a gay man, June holds a special place in my heart. It is a month to celebrate love, identity, and community. I am so proud to be part of and a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and so grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way.

These are photos of Parker from his graduation last year from Northland Community and Technical College. Parker came ready to celebrate everything he had accomplished and who he is. It was such an honor to be part of that moment. Congratulations again, Parker! 🥳

Okay, yes. I've been MIA for nearly two months. No excuses, just a lot of life happening: traveling, shooting, editing, and somewhere in the middle of all of that, completely forgetting that social media exists. 😅

🥰🪣I can officially mark ‘Surprise Engagement’ off of my photographer bucket list!

Logan wanted his proposal to Gabby to be a complete surprise. I was told she was very good at ‘figuring it out’ when he was trying to plan something before. He reached out to me to make it happen!

On a Saturday night out with friends, they strolled to the Grand Forks Downtown Development Association town square where I just happened to be ‘taking photos for work.’ I asked them if they’d let me get some cute photos of them on the ice.

Once Logan and I were ready, I gave him the cue by asking, “Have you had the cheesy pickles at the Toasted Frog? They’re my favorite.”

And then…it happened! Gabby was completely surprised! What an amazing moment. It was very special.
