Hey! Quick question — have we met before? You look familiar, but maybe we just haven’t said hi yet. My name is Bailee.
I’m originally from Austin, Texas… that is, until I decided to make the big move to Grand Rapids, Michigan. (Crazy, right? Becoming a Michigander wasn’t on my bingo card this year!)
I needed a change that would challenge and grow me — as a person and as a photographer — and push me further. So, well… here I am, starting a new chapter.
My love for photography began in high school. As someone who struggled with dyslexia and traditional academics, photography gave me a way to express myself without pressure — it was about perspective, not society’s idea of perfection. I even started my school’s first photo club as a sophomore and ran it until I graduated in 2020!
Fast forward… one of the best decisions I ever made was moving to Missoula, Montana to attend the (now ) Professional Intensive. The skills, the people, and the growth made my experience unforgettable (basically, I have a photographer family all across the states). I love and miss y’all so much! 🫶🏼

• I was adopted from China as a baby — my second middle name is Wurong!
• I’m a proud Texan, so yes, I say “y’all” (a lot).
• I moved straight out of high school in 2020 to become a live-in nanny in Colorado — and fell in love with photographing families.
• I get way too excited over rain and snow (basically a 4-year-old in an adult’s body).
• I live for thrifting. Hello, NEW… (old) wardrobe!
