Well, yall...it's been a month. My card had detected fraud so the bank canceled it right before my monthly payment for my editing program could withdraw. My laptop connection that imports photos from my camera gave up the ghost so I ordered 3 that came 1 whole week later. And then my Instagram wouldn't let me on my photo page so here I am...finally! Back on track.

I loved this session with up here in Wi******er. Late summer sessions are becoming my favorite and it's crazy how you can see fall creeping in. This girl was sunshine in cowgirl boots and we caught the golden hour just right. I did her older sister's senior sessions a couple of years ago so it was fun seeing some of the same facial expressions come through Riley 🖤

I loved this summery session in the last of the sunnies! Kairys was so sweet to work with even though the wind was whipping (doing us favors, I call it). She had some good memories of Mrs. Uhlorn from her school as a little kid so taking some pictures on Uhlorn Family Farms waa sentimental to the start of the year. This blended family session was too fun. The beautiful Service Flats area is a romping place for Sarah and the kids so shooting there was a no-brainer. When she asked if the kids' dad and his fiancee could join as well, it was an instant yes.

My parents are divorced so the importance of full family time is not lost on me, one second. Having pictures of both mom and dad is so important and what a blessing it is to see friendship between the adults in your life.

To me this love is the most true form of love there is. To choose to be a family and expand the love your kids receive in life is so beautiful.

I absolutely loved this 2 location session and have already shared our shots next to the pond at Fenn Ranger Station, but these were just as great & needed to be shared! Pops of red on the beach and a wrap of flowers from Miss Cindy lended Johnsons Bar a fun vibe. Sierra didn't miss with any of her wardrobe selections and was so sweet to work with! Even got her feet wet :)

Thank-you so much to the Kaschmitter Family who let us borrow their house for this shoot, especially to who enquired for me! This was a dreamy sunset session I've wanted to do F O R E V E R and when I asked Avery if she was interested she jumped right on board. Everything fell into place better than I imagined and I feel like the Americana vibe totally suits Avery in that peaceful, laid back kind of way.

I'm always amazed finding which properties around our little town are state or county properties and this field corner with the willows is no exception. Avery showed up in this stunning blue dress with her beautiful smile and I knew it was going to be a dream session.

This afternoon, the kids opted out of beach time so I sat in my little chair in the corner of my room for a good 4 hours, making my way slowly through Avery's session.

This gallery is a dream! I cannot believe just how amazing Avery was, giggling and spinning her way through these pictures. The dress, the lighting, the flowers...all of it was just so stunning

Wrapped this pretty gallery up yesterday so prepare yourselves for quite the dump over the next couple of days. I loved how flexible Sierra and her mom were,willi g to wait until thejghting was the most ideal. It just made everything so much better!

Tying up galleries while making sure the last few days of summer for the kids are ideal this week. I'm feeling the pressure!

Kairys | Nez Perce

We got to shoot in the sunnies and it was good timing because the next day a storm raged right on through. Kairys was so sweet and just nailed her senior session with ease. I am so thankful to Tanis Uhlorn for having the vision to plant this every year and giving me good directions because I apparently am as blind as a bat.

One of my goals as a photographer is to make sure each session looks different from the others I've already shot. Which means I realize how amazing it is to live in a state with so much public land, to know your neighbors and be able to call to ask to shoot on private property, as well as how blessed I am to have time to drive and look for new locations.

And sometimes it is shooting in a same location at multiple shoots but bringing an element of "you" to it. So please, if you have a creative edge you want to bring to your shoot, let me know! I'm leaning toward so many ideas and am dying to apply some :)
