Hard work gets noticed.

I can finally say it out loud. I’ve officially partnered with as a brand ambassador.

I don’t align myself with companies unless I genuinely believe in what they’re building and how it serves photographers and agents in the real world. This one made sense.

Excited to show you how I’m integrating it into my workflow and what we’ve got coming next.

Packing up for a Miami hotel shoot and putting the new setup to work. I’ve been running the Peak Design 45L travel bag forever, but for this trip I migrated everything into the Peak Design roller with three small cubes. Way easier on the body and perfect for frequent lens swaps on a hotel shoot.

Photographer of the Year for the third year in a row! 🤯🎉🫶🙏

That’s a first in the 47-year history of PPNF, and honestly… that one hits hard.

Photographer of the Year isn’t a single image or a lucky win. It’s earned over an entire year. Competing consistently. Staying involved. Teaching. Learning. Showing up even after you’ve already won. It’s about long-term effort and not letting your foot off the gas.

Being able to do that three years straight means more to me than I can probably put into words.

I was also honored to receive the Marie Moran Education Award for the second year in a row, which is based on teaching, attending classes, mentoring, and giving back to the photography community. Education has always mattered to me, and I don’t plan on slowing down there.

Community over competition. Always grateful for the people who push me, challenge me, and make me better every year.💯

No tripod? No problem. This shot was taken at the historic grist mill in Cades Cove. I stabilized the camera against a log and used a 1/3-second exposure to capture the smooth motion of the water while keeping the structure sharp. Just a reminder—creativity and technique can make up for missing gear any day.

My first time driving Newfound Gap Road… and wow, it did not disappoint.
Every twist and turn felt like stepping into a painting — vibrant reds, golds, and greens layered together in a way only the Smokies can pull off. This spot stopped me in my tracks. The curve, the color, the quiet — everything lined up perfectly.
I can see why so many photographers call this one of the most beautiful drives in the country. Safe to say it won’t be my last trip here. 🍂📸
