✨ Your birth belongs to YOU and you alone. (Partner if applicable and baby, too) The invitation into your birth space is sacred and should never be taken lightly.

✨ Take your time—do your research, and interview all your options. Don’t settle for the first available or someone who just feels okay. It’s essential to connect with as many people as you can to find your perfect fit.

✨Remember, while doula work is a profession, it’s also an act of service. If you sense ego, sales tactics, or anything that feels off, pause and decide what’s most important to you. Do you want someone genuinely invested in you, or someone in the business of birth?

✨Ask the critical questions: How many clients do they take on per month? Will they have the space to fully support you, or are you just another number? What’s their backup plan, and will you meet the backup, or could a stranger show up at your birth? Reflect on how that feels for you.

Your birth space should be filled with those who truly support you. Choose wisely. 🌸
