I wanted to follow up on the post I shared yesterday regarding photos of children on my social media.
After sharing that I would no longer be posting photos of little ones, I received so many thoughtful messages from clients. Some shared how much they appreciated the decision, while others reached out to let me know that they are still completely comfortable with me sharing photos of their children and families.
After hearing those perspectives and giving it some more thought, I’ve decided to adjust how I’ll be handling this moving forward. 🤍
Since the beginning of my business, I have always respected a client’s wishes when it comes to sharing their images online. If you’ve ever asked me not to post your family or children, that request has always been honored, and it always will be.
Going forward, I’ll be adding an additional precaution: every client will be asked at booking whether or not they give me permission to share their images online. You can also allow me to share but blur out your little one’s face(s). It’s entirely up to you!
If you say yes and later change your mind, that’s okay too. At any point, you can ask me not to share, or to remove, images of your family, and I will always respect that decision. No explanation needed.
I also will not share identifiable photos of children when I haven’t received permission from their parent or guardian. This will especially apply to situations like weddings and events, where I may photograph children who are not directly my clients and therefore haven’t had the opportunity to give that permission.

I’ll also be adding an extra layer of privacy to all client galleries moving forward. 🤍
My galleries are already private and cannot be searched for or accessed without the specific gallery link. However, as an additional precaution, all galleries will now be password protected as well.
It’s a small extra step, but one more way I can help protect the privacy of you and your family.
It’s unfortunate that we even have to think about things like this, but protecting the privacy and digital footprint of the little ones who step in front of my camera is incredibly important to me.
