**Long post alert **
TLDR: Life can change, and your dreams can still come true. ❤️
In 2009, I developed a chronic pain condition called CRPS, sometimes referred to as the “suicide disease” because of the devastating reality of living with constant pain.
A doctor once told me that I would have to learn to choose what I was willing to pay for in pain. That I should build my life around joy and around the things that were worth the pain I would inevitably suffer.
This week was worth it.
I got to live out a dream shooting alongside some of the best at the Little League Softball World Series at Elm Street. I made new friends who quickly became family. And I even got the chance to meet and chat with one of my childhood idols, Lisa Fernandez.
There were moments this week when the pain was very real. But so was the joy.
And this? This was worth the pain.
To the dream team — Denis, Sarah, Bill, Hannah, and Andie — it wouldn’t have been the experience it was without y’all. Thank you for everything: the advice, the support, the caffeine 😂, all the laughs, and an entire camera roll full of memories. I’m so grateful I got to do this with you.
To the GLL crew, especially Mrs. Ann & Ashley — I’m not sure how you do it, but man, do you put on a great event! Thank you for constantly making sure we were okay and had everything we needed. You made such a huge experience feel effortless, and I’m so grateful for that!
To Ashlea, Emily, Lauren, and the rest of the littleleague/Williamsport team — thank you for letting me be a part of this experience and for making a big girl’s dreams come true, too. ❤️
Sometimes life changes the path you thought you were going to take.
But that doesn’t mean the dream has to disappear.
Keep dreaming. Keep going. And when you get the chance, choose the things that are worth the pain.
This week, I did.
And I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 🥎📸❤️
