One of the biggest things I’m learning right now is how to stay in rhythm with making. I tend to create a body of work and then stop just as I’m starting to scratch the surface. I still haven’t fully figured out why I struggle with that… maybe it’s my attention span, or maybe it’s perfectionism.

What’s been surprising, though, is realizing I’m actually capable of more when I’m intentional about showing up for the process- instead of waiting for inspiration or momentum to magically appear.

Making this new body of work has been a breath of fresh air. It’s pulled me out of a creative rut and back into that space where things feel playful again. I’ve been experimenting more, thinking differently, and showing up to create with a new sense of rhythm—it’s reminded me why I love this process in the first place. ❤️

Why quilt blocks?

My grandma used to quilt, and growing up I always remember the coveted blue patchwork quilt—the one that only came out on sick days, cold winter nights, or anytime we needed a little extra comfort.

To me, handmade objects carry that same kind of quiet weight—something familiar, grounding, and deeply human. They hold history, symbolism, and layers of meaning that go beyond function.

A quilt has always meant “welcome home.”

Last night me and Kylee Anspach taught our first fundraising class! It was an absolute blast. It’s always so fun to be able to share what you love with other people- & it’s such a blessing to work somewhere that is so focused on loving people. Thank you to everyone who came out & supported ! Interested in signing up? We still have openings in our March Intro class! Check out my links below to support us or sign up for a class!
