The Canoe Slalom World Championships are officially underway in Oklahoma City after opening ceremonies took place Saturday evening.

OKC is welcoming nearly 300 athletes from 50 countries for this first-ever event. Competition begins Monday and runs through Saturday.

🚧 Construction Update! 🚧

Progress continues at the new McDonald’s in town, and crews have been making great strides over the past couple of weeks. The plumbing has been completed, and the concrete slab is now poured, a big milestone as the project moves forward.

These photos were taken today, giving you the latest look at the construction progress.

Did anyone else catch that storm east of town at sunset? The colors were incredible.

Things moved fast at the old Guthrie McDonald’s this week.

Early Monday morning, it only took a couple of hours for the building to be reduced to rubble. Fast forward roughly two days, and as of this evening the site is almost completely cleared.

The old building may be gone, but work is already making way for the brand-new McDonald’s that’s expected to open later this fall. We’ll keep sharing updates as construction moves along.

The Guthrie McDonald's temporarily closed on June 26th to make way for a brand-new, modernized restaurant. The new location is expected to open sometime in early October.

In the meantime, area residents have another nearby option with the new McDonald's on Waterloo Road, which officially opened on June 30th.

Construction is already moving forward. Demolition got underway this morning, and these photos were taken on July 5th. We'll be sharing more updates as the project progresses, so stay tuned!

While fireworks were lighting up the night sky, Mother Nature decided she wasn’t going to be outdone. 🇺🇸⚡️

Last night’s Independence Day celebration came with an unforgettable light show of its own. Between the bursts of color and the flashes of lightning, the sky put on a performance that was impossible to ignore. Moments like these are a reminder that sometimes the best show isn’t planned, it just happens.

This photo was taken at 7 Mile Beach in Grand Cayman, and we can't help but wish we were back there. Crystal-clear water, soft white sand, it's easily our favorite beach spot.🏝️⛱️
