Tiny humans, big Maui.

The environment has always been such a huge part of how I photograph. The weather, the light, the landscape is all part of the story.

You don’t need to know how to pose for your photos.

Actually, I’d rather you didn’t.

Most of the couples I photograph tell me some version of the same thing before we meet: we’re awkward in photos, we don’t know what to do, we don’t want anything that feels staged.

Perfect.

I’m not going to spend your time in Maui moving you through a list of poses. I’ll give you direction when you need it, then leave enough space for the two of you to actually be together.

The wind can mess up your hair. You can forget where the camera is. You can touch each other the way you normally would.

That’s usually where the good stuff happens.

Planning a Maui elopement, honeymoon, anniversary, or couples session? I’m booking 2026 + 2027 dates. Send me a message and tell me what you’re dreaming up. 🤍

The kind of elopement I want more of on Maui.
Intimate, a little untraditional, and more about being together and being yourselves vs performing.

You don’t need a big wedding. You don’t need a packed timeline. You don’t even need to know what to do in front of the camera.

Give me the two of you, somewhere beautiful, and enough time to let the day unfold.

Photographing elopements across Maui and all of Hawaiʻi.

When Yoki and Char asked me where to go, I picked this trail —

They’re the kind of couple who counts every single day they’ve been together, which I found out somewhere on the hike up. Moody skies rolled through the whole way, and at some point they mentioned that on this same trip they were stopping on Big Island hoping to adopt a dog, who’s now living his best life with them back in DC.

Honestly, they were more interested in each other than the view most of the time, which made my job easy. No posing, no performing for the camera — just two people who are genuinely, quietly obsessed with each other.

They’ve already told me that when they get engaged, they want it to happen here, with me. Can’t wait to see you two again soon! 🌴

Callie and Austin were originally planning to elope in Portugal. Then life happened, and their plans changed. They started looking at Big Sur next — but after everything they’d been through, I felt strongly that Maui was the better fit. Warmer. Slower. The kind of place that embraces you with ease.

We did their ceremony at sunrise, right on the cliffs, and they turned the whole trip into a honeymoon too. By the end of it they’d done the road to Hana all the way through, snorkeled, floated in water so calm it barely moved, and ended their day with a sunset sail with cake on the bow.

And then they sent me this after they left: ‘It was like having a little bit of family and friends having you here! I don’t even want this journey with you to end, we miss you already!”

That’s the part of this job I love most — not just showing up for the wedding day, but for whatever season someone’s actually in. Sometimes the place you originally pictured isn’t the one that ends up being right. 🌺

There’s a pool tucked into the jungle on Maui that I think about more than I probably should.

No ocean view. No infinity edge. Just water, and palm fronds, and this light that filters through the canopy in the morning like the whole place is doing it on purpose.

Courtney and Dayton found it for their honeymoon. They didn’t ask me to make it look like anything. They just got in the water together and I stayed out of the way.

That’s the thing about shooting somewhere like Hale Akua Garden Farm & Eco-Retreat — the location pulls something out of people. The slowness of it. The privacy. You forget there’s a camera at all.

If you’re planning a honeymoon, elopement, or couples session on Maui and you want something that doesn’t look like every other Hawaii photo you’ve ever seen — this is the kind of morning I can build for you.

Every October I head to Big Sur for a few weeks.

The cliffs, the redwoods, the fog rolling in off the Pacific — it’s one of my favorite places on earth to photograph and I can’t wait to be back.

October is also my favorite time of year there. Less crowds the weather is gorgeous and let’s just say it’s sunset season ✨

This October is almost fully booked. I have one date left.

If you’ve been thinking about a Big Sur elopement or couples session and October works for you — now is the time.

There are maybe a handful of places on this island where it feels like time stops.

We were near the end of the session when I asked them to pause right there.

The champagne bottle was already sitting on the cliffs waiting for us. The wind was doing that thing it does that makes this island so special— her dress completely alive, hair everywhere — and she was just fully in it.

That’s actually the thing I remember most about these two. Nothing rattled them. The rain, the wind, the fact that we were scrambling around on volcanic cliffs in the middle of nowhere — they were just having the best time.

The champagne tasted better after this one.

If you’re dreaming about something like this and aren’t sure where to start — that’s exactly what I’m here for. Tell me the vibe you’re after and I’ll take it from there.

These two flew in from Washington DC for a couples session in Maui.

They picked a trail that required a real hike to get to. They wore white. They held each other like the rest of the world didn’t exist.

It’s Pride Month, and this is exactly what I want to be doing — photographing love that is completely, unapologetically itself in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

If you’re planning a trip to Maui and want photos that feel like your relationship — not a pose, not a beach setup, just you two — I’d love to make that happen.

We hiked for an hour to get here. By the time we reached the top, the mist had rolled in completely off the mountains.

Neither of them cared even a little.

This is what I love about North Shore Maui — it doesn’t do predictable. The south side gives you warm, golden, postcard-perfect. Up here you get something wilder. The kind of place where you forget you’re taking photos entirely.

If you’re planning a honeymoon or couples session in Maui and want something that actually feels like the island — I’d love to help you plan it.
