Rivalries, milestones, and a five-set battle highlighted Thursday night in Indiana. 🏐

Marian took the latest chapter of the “Holy War,” sweeping Saint Joseph 3-0 with an exciting 25-23 finish in the third set. The Knights also opened the night by recognizing senior libero Jenna VanBruaene, who reached 2,000 career digs last week against Concord, while Annie Verslype recorded her 500th career dig on the evening as well.

Elsewhere, Jimtown’s Emma Young reached 1,000 career assists in a 3-0 win over LaVille, while LaPorte outlasted Valparaiso in five in Duneland Conference play.

And out West, keep an eye on Hanover Central. 👀 The Wildcats improved to 16-3 with a sweep of Lowell on Senior Night as they continue to climb the 3A ranks. The night also saw Nora Edgerton record her 1,000th career kill on match point, while libero Lily Chorba is currently ranked #1 in the state of Indiana for digs by MaxPreps for the season to date.

A big night for more than just the scoreboard on Wednesday!

In Michigan, St. Joseph flipped the result of last season’s District finals matchup with Mattawan, sweeping the Wildcats 3-0, while Portage Central took the crosstown rivalry over Portage Northern in another 3-0 sweep.

And the setters were busy making history. St. Joseph, Portage Central, Wheeler and Boone Grove each celebrated career assist milestones, highlighted by Mya Wargo becoming Boone Grove’s all-time assists leader. In the same match, Boone Grove’s Brooklyn Gluth reached 500 career kills.

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with CORTS, a performance apparel brand built specifically for the female athlete.

CORTS shares our mission to find new ways to elevate volleyball, bring more attention to the sport, and create the best possible experience for the athletes who play it.

This Saturday, CORTS will join Michiana Volleyball at the Slicer Invitational at LaPorte High School for an on-site pop-up designed for athletes and families.
