Ho**er Day Parade 2014
Before he became “Mayor Mike,” Mike Peters was best known as the creator of the Ho**er Day Parade. It was named after Hartford’s founder, Thomas Ho**er, but everyone was in on the joke, especially Mike himself. Billed as “The Parade for Everybody,” it was kooky and fun and certainly help Peters get elected Mayor in 1993. It was highly popular in the 1990s. But after Peters passed in 2009, the parade fizzled out. Attempts to revive it were partially successful, but the parade had had its day - and what a fun day it was!
