I hate this picture and yet I cherish this picture.
It is a big reason why I advocate for keeping the pics, even if you never post them. I hated that I was a few months post baby and didn't feel "pretty", wasnt dressed up, and wasnt serious in it. The thing I hate most of all about it is, it's the ONLY photo I have with both of my children at the same time.
7 years ago this week, my almost 5 month old daughter became an organ donor, saving two lives after losing her own life to bacterial infection. I will never have another photo with both of them, and for that it's also one of my most treasured. To some, family portraits are a chore, "extra", a luxury. But for some people, that may be all they have left.
In memory of Ellie, I would like to offer a number of free "short & sweet" family sessions at any toledo area metropark of your choosing, this week/weekend only.
