The vice principal finally got his conchas.

A few months ago, I made a video for Co**ha Dreams, and ever since then, the vice principal would jokingly ask my son, “Where’s my concha?”

I kept telling myself that before the school year ended, we needed to make it happen. The plan was to surprise the office staff before the last day of school, but life had other plans when my son got sick and wasn’t able to attend his last day of fourth grade.

Even though he couldn’t be in the classroom, we were still able to stop by the school. What started as a simple surprise turned into the perfect ending to the school year. He was able to personally hand the conchas to the vice principal and office staff, pick up something his teacher had left for him, and even see a few friends before summer break.

Sometimes things don’t go according to plan, but they end up being even better than expected.

The sweetest way to end fourth grade. 🤍

What started as an idea has slowly become a series dedicated to documenting families, their stories, and the beautiful season of life they’re in right now.

I’m excited to see where this journey leads and grateful for every family trusting me to help tell their story. 🤍

This series was birthed out of a desire to expand the type of photography I do, but honestly… it’s been on my heart for almost 10 years. 🤍

There’s something special about stepping into a family’s home and documenting the little things — the traditions, personalities, favorite spaces, and moments that make their story uniquely theirs.

Because years from now, those may be the details that mean the most.

There’s something so special about documenting a family in the place where their story is already unfolding. 🤍

Starting this new in-home family series reminded me that photos don’t need a perfect backdrop or a Pinterest-perfect home. The little corners, the artwork on the walls, kitchen moments, and everyday spaces already hold so much meaning.

These sessions are about capturing your family as you are, in the spaces that already feel like home.

I’ll be opening another model call for June + July soon, so stay tuned. And follow along as I continue sharing this series. ✨
