I didn’t leave because I had nothing to lose 💔

I left while having a life I knew, people I loved, and a place where I understood how everything worked 🇲🇽

Starting over in another country sounded exciting because I was building a future with the person I loved 🇺🇸👩‍❤️‍👨

At that moment, I was focused on everything I was gaining.

❤️ A marriage.

❤️ A family.

❤️ A new beginning.

I don’t think I fully understood how much of myself I was leaving behind, or how difficult it would be to find myself again in a place that didn’t feel like home yet 💔🏡

Back then, becoming a photographer in California wasn’t even part of the plan

I was simply trying to build a new life.

And this was only the beginning. 🤍

No me fui porque no tuviera nada que perder

Me fui dejando atrás una vida que conocía, personas que amaba y un lugar donde todo me resultaba familiar.

Empezar de nuevo en otro país sonaba emocionante porque estaba construyendo un futuro junto a la persona que amaba.

En ese momento solo podía ver todo lo que estaba por ganar.

Un matrimonio.

Una familia.

Un nuevo comienzo.

Pero nunca imaginé cuánto de mí iba a dejar atrás… ni lo difícil que sería volver a encontrarme en un lugar que todavía no se sentía como hogar.

En ese entonces, convertirme en fotógrafa en California ni siquiera pasaba por mi mente.

Simplemente estaba intentando construir una nueva vida.

Y esto… apenas era el comienzo. 🤍

Mom’s Purest Love 🤍

There’s something so special about photographing parents who are waiting for their very first baby. 🤍

Everything feels new.

The excitement.

The anticipation.

The little conversations about what life is going to look like in just a few months.

Before her session, she told me she wanted something soft, romantic, and timeless. Since they were waiting to find out the baby’s gender, she chose the most beautiful neutral dress… and I honestly think it was the perfect choice.

She was also a little worried about getting her husband in front of the camera.

But by the end of the session, they were both laughing, relaxed, and simply enjoying the moment together.

Those are always my favorite sessions.

The ones where it stops feeling like a photoshoot and starts feeling like a memory they’ll get to hold onto forever. 🤍

I don’t think these photos could have represented them any better. 🤍

From the moment they told me they wanted a cowboy-inspired maternity session, I knew it had to feel true to who they are.

The funny part? They had both planned on wearing boots… but mama’s boots didn’t fit anymore, so she switched to heels at the last minute. 🥹

And honestly… I think they were perfect.

We found the most beautiful location with so much greenery, and everything came together even better than I had imagined.

But my favorite part wasn’t the outfits or the scenery.

It was watching them together.

The way they looked at each other, laughed together, and made every photo feel effortless.

I’ve known them for years, and I know how deeply they love each other. Seeing them step into this new season of life honestly made this session even more special for me.

Their little one is already so loved, and I have no doubt they’re going to be incredible parents. 🤍

It’s sessions like these that remind me maternity photos aren’t just about documenting a baby bump.

They’re about preserving the love that already exists before your baby even arrives.

I wasn’t expecting to feel this nervous 😅🤍

I’ve photographed many families, maternity sessions, and special moments over the years.

But there’s something different about photographing people you love.

Not because they’re more demanding.

But because you care so much about getting it right.

You want them to love their photos.

You want them to feel beautiful.

You want them to have memories they’ll treasure forever.

And honestly, I think that’s why I was so nervous for this session 😂

The pressure was real... but seeing their final gallery made every second worth it 🤍✨

No esperaba sentirme tan nerviosa 😅🤍

He fotografiado muchas familias, sesiones de maternidad y momentos especiales a lo largo de los años.

Pero hay algo diferente cuando fotografías a personas que amas.

No porque sean más exigentes.

Sino porque te importa muchísimo hacerlo bien.

Quieres que amen sus fotos.

Quieres que se sientan hermosos.

Quieres que tengan recuerdos que atesorarán para siempre.

Y sinceramente, creo que por eso estaba tan nerviosa para esta sesión 😂

La presión era real… pero ver su galería final hizo que cada segundo valiera la pena 🤍✨

Y ahora tengo curiosidad 👀

If you saw how I ended after this setup… you probably wouldn’t believe it 😂🤍

Because yes… the final result looks calm and beautiful.

But behind that there was paint everywhere, balloons flying away 😭, dinosaur pieces all over the floor, and way more hours of work than I originally expected.

And honestly… I think that’s what happens when you create something with so much love for someone so special 🥹

Every little detail started feeling important because I didn’t want to create “just a cute setup.”

I wanted it to feel special for him 🤍🦖

And when I finally finished and saw everything come together… I knew all those hours were completely worth it.

Now I need ideas for the next one 👀✨
