Hailing from the suburbs of Nashville and a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky, I ended up back in the Bluegrass State in 2017 when we moved to my husband's hometown of Henderson, KY. Here, we are slowly and lovingly restoring a historic home and let me tell you, there's never a dull moment when you're knee-deep in renovation projects! Let's play a game...
Which do you like better?

💛Full Color💛 - OR - 🖤Black and White🖤

When I deliver a gallery, whether for a full gallery or a mini session, you will find a gallery full of beautiful, emotive color images. However, you will also find a selection of those images in both color and black & white—and that's completely intentional.

There are some images that just come alive in black & white. With the color stripped away, your eye goes straight to the connection, the expression, and the emotion. It feels timeless and often more powerful. And it simply helps you feel the moment a little more deeply.

Black & white images also work beautifully on gallery walls, creating a cohesive look even when you're mixing photos from different sessions and seasons.

I don't convert every image to black & white, though. I choose them strategically—often the ones that are full of emotion, pulled in close, and free from distractions that might compete with the story being told.

So now I'm curious...

One of the sweetest parts of my job is getting to walk alongside people through so many seasons of life. 💙

I’ve known Olivia for such a long time — from babysitting my kids to photographing her high school senior portraits, and now getting to celebrate her college graduation. Watching someone grow through so many seasons of life is such a special gift.

And honestly, that’s one of the things I love most about photography. It’s so much more than taking pictures. It’s getting a front row seat to milestones, memories, growth, and all the moments in between.

Olivia, it has been such a joy watching you become the woman you are today. I’m so proud of you and so excited to see what comes next ✨🎓

It is VBS week at HFBC and I have to say...I think this is the best one yet! I love getting to capture the joy on all of these kids faces while they learn about Jesus and grow in relationship with Him. And having our very own DJ doesn't hurt either!

Think bare feet, creek water, sunshine, giggles, and the kind of childhood moments that feel like summer in the best possible way.

These sessions are always some of my favorites because they’re less about perfectly posed smiles (although we will get a couple of these too) and more about letting kids explore, play, and simply be little.

One of my favorite parts of senior sessions is incorporating the things that make each senior uniquely THEM ✨

Whether that’s a letterman jacket, a bible, a favorite sport, musical instrument, hobby, boots, a vintage truck, or even bringing along your dog — those personal touches are what make your gallery feel meaningful and authentic years from now.
Senior photos shouldn’t feel one-size-fits-all. They should tell a little piece of your story in this season of life.

And summer is such a perfect time to plan a session that feels relaxed, creative, and completely customized to you before senior year gets busy.

There’s something special about summer family sessions ☀️🌿

The slower evenings. Carefree kids. Sun-kissed skin. Longer sunsets. Green scenery everywhere. The feeling that maybe, just for a little while, life isn’t moving quite so fast.

Summer sessions also tend to feel a little more relaxed for families — no school schedules, fewer activities, and more flexibility to plan around what works best for your crew.

And honestly? Some of my favorite family photos happen in the in-between moments summer naturally brings out — playing, laughing, exploring, and just being together.
