Hailing from the suburbs of Nashville and a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky, I ended up back in the Bluegrass State in 2017 when we moved to my husband's hometown of Henderson, KY. Here, we are slowly and lovingly restoring a historic home and let me tell you, there's never a dull moment when you're knee-deep in renovation projects! It is VBS week at HFBC and I have to say...I think this is the best one yet! I love getting to capture the joy on all of these kids faces while they learn about Jesus and grow in relationship with Him. And having our very own DJ doesn't hurt either!

Think bare feet, creek water, sunshine, giggles, and the kind of childhood moments that feel like summer in the best possible way.

These sessions are always some of my favorites because they’re less about perfectly posed smiles (although we will get a couple of these too) and more about letting kids explore, play, and simply be little.

One of my favorite parts of senior sessions is incorporating the things that make each senior uniquely THEM ✨

Whether that’s a letterman jacket, a bible, a favorite sport, musical instrument, hobby, boots, a vintage truck, or even bringing along your dog — those personal touches are what make your gallery feel meaningful and authentic years from now.

There’s something special about summer family sessions ☀️🌿

The slower evenings. Carefree kids. Sun-kissed skin. Longer sunsets. Green scenery everywhere. The feeling that maybe, just for a little while, life isn’t moving quite so fast.

Summer sessions also tend to feel a little more relaxed for families — no school schedules, fewer activities, and more flexibility to plan around what works best for your crew.

And honestly? Some of my favorite family photos happen in the in-between moments summer naturally brings out — playing, laughing, exploring, and just being together.

From preschool graduation… to high school graduation 🎓✨

Somehow the days feel long, but the years move impossibly fast.

One minute they’re learning their ABCs and heading off to Kindergarten with tiny backpacks… and the next, they’re walking across a stage preparing for everything that comes next.

Graduation season always feels a little emotional for me because it’s such a reminder of how quickly these seasons pass by.

To all the graduates — whether you’re finishing preschool, high school, or somewhere in between — congratulations on this milestone and all the memories that came with it 💛

✨ Happy Recital Day to all the dancers at Deanna's Dance Factory! ✨

Today is the day you’ve worked so hard for — the numerous practices, tired feet, costume changes, nerves, excitement, and all the little moments in between.

Recital day is always such a special reminder that dance is about so much more than the performance itself. It’s confidence, discipline, creativity, friendships, growth, and doing something you love with your whole heart.

With graduation just over a week away, I just want to say how much I’ve loved getting to celebrate and photograph so many amazing seniors this year. This season is such a special one — full of excitement, change, memories, and so many milestones.
