UP 8661 (EMD SD-70ACe) sits in the hole with a line of empty coal hoppers in tow waiting for a crew at Borax, MP 297 of the Union Pacific Cima Subdivision
July 11, 2018 the Vegas rail office was out of crews all the extra boards crews were out on the line or out of hours. Only a few priority trains ran on the subdivisions (Cima and Caliente). The previous tunnel cave in (in Oregon)along with derailments in Arizona and New Mexico has forced more traffic into Las Vegas.
